AMR Still Losing Money

While most airlines are expecting to post profits this week when they announce 2nd quarter earnings American Airlines can't seem to catch a break. AMR, American's parent company, is forecast to show a 10 million dollar loss. The good news it's a whole lot better than a year ago when it's 2nd quarter loss was 379 million dollars. Delta, the largest airline, is in the top seat with an estimated 500 million dollar profit.
