American Airlines Slapped with $24M Fine
The FAA slapped American Airlines with a record 24 million dollar fine. They say American failed to properly inspect the wire bundles in the wheel well of their M-D 80's between 2006 and 2008...even though they were repeatedly asked to do so. Airline Analyst, Denny Kelly, says non-compliance is a cause for concern.American responded by assuring customers there was never a safety issue during that time.
