American Airlines Trying To End More Jet Leases
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - American Airlines is trying to ditch more of the leases on its aging planes.
The airline has asked the bankruptcy court to allow it to reject leases on nine MD-80 jets.
Those jets are currently parked in New Mexico.
American says it wants to be out of the leases by the end of this month.
All of the leases began in 1991.
Recently, American rejected leases on 33 other aging aircraft.
