American Airlines Makes Deal With Envoy Pilots

FORT WORTH (AP) - American Airlines has reached a tentative contract with union pilots at one of its regional subsidiaries, Envoy Air, which operates American Eagle flights.

Those pilots in March rejected a four-year pay freeze, and American began shifting Eagle planes to other airlines with lower costs.

Fort Worth-based American on Sunday night announced the tentative deal.

In a memo to employees, Envoy CEO Pedro Fabregas said if the contract is ratified, Envoy would get more planes -- which means more pilot jobs.
