American Airlines Cancels Flights To/From Brussels

(CBSDFW.COM) - American Airlines has cancelled all flights to/from Brussels for Wednesday and Thursday.

The airline plans to operate a flight from Philadelphia to Brussels on Friday, with a return flight on Saturday. That's subject to change though, pending direction from Brussels Airport and the appropriate authorities.

Customers booked on cancelled flights are being re-accommodated through other airports in the region. American has issued a travel policy for customers with reservations to/from Brussels who wish to change their itineraries. Customers booked for travel March 22 through March 29 may request a refund, select an alternate airport or reschedule travel through April 12.

All AA airport employees and crew members are safe and accounted for with no reported injuries, according to a press release. Additionally, the airline has extended its deepest sympathies and condolences to those affected by the tragic events in Brussels.

Customers with flights to/from Brussels may use aa.com or call their reservations desk at +1-800-433-7300 to get the latest information. In Belgium, customers may call (+32) 070 300 300. Friends and family of American Airlines customers who may have been at Brussels Airport Tuesday, may call +1-800-679-8215.
