WHITNEY (CBSDFW.COM) — Hill County Sheriff's Office has issued an Amber Alert for two children: Lulamae Ann King and Deondre King.
Police are looking for the children's father, Clifford Ray King Jr., and their aunt, Cristal Chauntell Taylor, in connection with the kids' abduction.
Hill County Sheriff's Office said King was detained by Dallas police at a residence in the 3600 block of Colonial Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday. He has not been charged or arrested, but he was detained for questioning.
Taylor and the children are still missing.
They were last seen in Whitney, west of Hillsboro, driving a white, 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. As of 5 p.m. Saturday, officials say that vehicle was found abandoned in the 500 block of Wickford in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas.
Those with information are asked to contact the Hill County Sheriff's Office at 254-582-5313.
Hill County Sheriff Wes Collins said the Amber Alert stems from a narcotics search warrant served at a home in Whitney, 10 miles outside Hillsboro, on Thursday.
Three adults, including the two mother of the King children, were arrested according to the Hill County Sheriff's Office. At the time, the children were released to their aunt, Cristal Chauntell Taylor.
Later in the day Child Protective Services completed its investigation and obtain a court order for custody of the two children. However, when CPS tried to retrieve the children from the family, Collins said the family refused to cooperate.
Officials believe the kids could be in "grave or immediate danger."
Lulamae Ann King is a 5-year-old girl with black hair and brown eyes. Deondre King is a 6-year-old boy with black hair and brown eyes. Clifford Ray King Jr. is a 41-year-old man with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his chest and both arms. Cristal Chauntell Taylor is a 27-year-old woman with brown hair and hazel eyes.
