ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington Police say it all started when a man tried to steal a pickup at the Jet Express Car Wash on Little Road Tuesday evening.
They say the suspect tried to steal several other cars before he finally took a Honda Odyssey.
After driving away, he stopped at 7-Eleven off 4401 Kelly Elliot where police say he forced a man to give up his gas hose to put gas in the stolen Honda.
After allegedly assaulting the victim, the suspect then then drove away, but wrecked the van. He then apparently crossed I-20 jumping on cars and attempting to assault people, then ran to a nearby neighborhood and confronted people at a house in the 3700 block of Fort Hunt Dr. according to police.
The suspect fought with and was injured by one of the residents.
Police say the suspect tried to run again but was finally taken into custody by officers.
Police had him taken to a hospital to be checked out for his injuries.
Right now the suspect is facing robbery, theft and assault charges and the list is expected to grow.
