All 8 Victims Identified In Red River County Crash

ANNONA (AP) -- All eight victims killed in a two-car collision in Northeast Texas have been identified.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Ryan Case said the occupants of a Chevrolet Malibu were 25-year-old Curtis Sanders, 24-year-old Michael Mathis, 19-year-old Lawrence Bridnac III, all of Compton, Calif., and 21-year-old Debra Thompson of Long Beach, Calif. All were killed.

On Friday, the DPS identified one of the occupants as Eric Wright. Case told The Associated Press on Saturday that the name was taken from a car rental agreement and mistakenly released without confirmation. Case said Wright was not in the accident.

Wright is the son of the late NWA frontman Eazy-E.  Wright, who raps under the stage name is Lil' Eazy-E, posted on Twitter that close friends died.

Those killed in the other car were 29-year-old Sonia de la Torre, of Annona, and her three young children.

Annona is 150 miles northeast of Dallas in Red River county.
