Ogando Set For Rangers Rehab Start
ARLINGTON (AP) - Texas Rangers right-hander Alexi Ogando is set for a minor-league rehab start after getting through a batting practice session with no issues.
Ogando was pain free Wednesday after his first live BP since going on the disabled list June 9 with right shoulder inflammation. He had a previous DL stint with right biceps tendinitis and made just one start after getting activated.
Ogando is scheduled to throw 45 pitches for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday, and he's likely to make at least one more rehab start if he doesn't have any setbacks.
The former reliever is 4-2 with a 2.93 ERA in 10 starts. He's only made one start since May 15.
