Addison Apartment Fire Sparked By Lightning Strike

ADDISON (CBSDFW) - Firefighters were busy early Monday morning fighting an apartment fire that was likely started by a lightning strike.
According to the Addison Fire Department, residents at the Bent Tree Brook Apartments, just west of the Dallas North Tollway, reported a lightning strike followed by the smell of smoke around 3:00am.
Firefighters from Carrollton and Farmers Branch were called to the scene to assist.
According to officials, everyone was able to get out safely, there were no reported injuries.
The Red Cross is helping displaced residents.
