Adam James Wrapping Tumultuous Career At Texas Tech
LUBBOCK (AP) The player who will be forever tied to the firing of Texas Tech coach Mike Leach is nearing the end of his college career.
Adam James is a senior tight end for the Red Raiders. The university fired Mike Leach in December 2009 amid allegations he mistreated James, who had a concussion. Leach has denied it and sued the school over his firing.
In his first interview since Leach left, James says he doesn't care if people view him as a pariah. He says he simply wants to help the Red Raiders get to a bowl game by winning at least one of their last three games.
