AAA: Texas, U.S. Retail Gasoline Prices Decline This Week
COPPELL (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Across Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices have declined this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported prices at the pump statewide slipped 3 cents to settle at $2.63 per gallon. Drivers across the country are paying an average $2.86 per gallon, which is down 2 cents from a week ago.
The association survey found Midland has the most expensive gasoline in Texas this week at an average $3.12 per gallon. Three cities have the cheapest gasoline in Texas — San Antonio, McAllen and Amarillo — at an average $2.53 per gallon.
Here in North Texas drivers in Dallas are paying $2.61 a gallon at the pump, while those filling up in Arlington and Fort Worth are averaging $2.60.
AAA experts say the crude oil supply is starting to keep pace with demand.
