AA Pilots Union Advising Members To Approve Contract Offer
(CBSDFW.COM) - The Allied Pilots Association is telling its members that advisers recommend they approve American Airlines' last, best contract offer.
The union is recommending its approval because it includes an equity stake in the new airline and pay raises. The pilots end voting on the contract Wednesday at noon.
Results will be announced shortly after that.
If pilots reject the airline's contract offer, American will ask a bankruptcy judge to throw out the union's existing contract.
The airlines' mechanics and store clerks will end their voting on a new contract offer tomorrow, and release results Wednesday morning.
