the running back in the nfl is becoming a dinosaur...no longer are teams content on the patience of a running game...all makes for the diminished role of the ball carriers...not to say there are no franchise rb's...but the emphasis is on the forward pass...if a team is lucky enough to have a great runner...that's a luxury...count the cowboys among the fortunate...demarco murray is well above the ordinary line...a steal draft pick in the third round...he displayed brilliance last year in limited time...he won the starters job in week 9...and his season ended in week 14 with an ankle injury...all he did in that short time is rush for 897 and average 5.5...he has all the measurables...speed...quickness...vision...ability to operate in traffic...and most of all...running back skills and mentality...the headlines will be romo throwing...but the games will be won by demarco toting the ball..
