even though california is a paradise...it does have its shortcomings...looking beyond the crystal waters of the pacific...and the scenic majestic mountains...there is a dark-side...crime is big business in this state...there are more gangs and gang related issues than anywhere in the country...yesterday I decided to take a nice run/jog...now we are in a great location in oxnard...not a single sign of trouble...but during my little excursion...about a mile from the hotel...I found myself deeply imbedded in the barrio...visible signs of gangland activities everywhere...kinda scary...so I hoofed it home...this time faster than a jog...
