A Night Out In Uptown Dallas
Many people may associate Uptown Dallas with stuffy, uptight bars with drinks that cost too much and bars that are too exclusive. Luckily, the neighborhood of Uptown Dallas has so much more to offer than that. With live music, karaoke nights, craft beers, large patios, fruity cocktails and cheap pitchers of beer, this neighborhood has something for everyone. Sure, there are bars with sophistication but there are also local neighborhood pubs that are great to enjoy a good drink and watch the game on the big screen.

This bar is associated with the popular Bread Winners Cafe and is three floors of charming bar with the feel of the French Quarter. While the bar is seen as something separate from Bread Winners, it still offers the same delicious food. There are specials on drinks and food most days of the week, including the weekend. Some of the specials include deals on Texas brands or cheap bar food.

If you're just looking for a great pub with delicious and comforting pub food, Uptown Pub is the place. This old-style pub was built in the 1920s and offers great views of the busy Uptown neighborhood. The food is typical pub food with some Texas flair with items like blackened chicken on the menu. Some great nights to visit would be karaoke nights or days when there's live music at the pub.

Primo's is the perfect bar to go to in Uptown if you are just looking for a great place to go with friends for some Tex-Mex and margaritas. There is a large patio that is located on McKinney Avenue, allowing you to get a great view of Uptown and feel the hustle and bustle of the city. On Tuesdays, margaritas are only $2, which is one of the best deals in town, especially in the Uptown area. Primo's also has other happy hour deals all week as well as live music on Tuesdays.

This bar is definitely on the more sophisticated end of bars in Uptown. This might not be the place to go for a low-key night out with beer and friends, but it's definitely one of the top choices for fun cocktails and going out with girlfriends. Known as a "rockin' dinner club," the bar features live music every night of the week. There is an outdoor lounge that resembles a fishbowl and provides a great view of the band.

This bar may not have a lot of windows, or any for that matter, but what it does have is some stiff drinks, a chill crowd and ambiance and a friendly staff. The drinks at good prices which makes this a good place to enjoy a night with a group of friends. It can get crowded, but if you don't mind standing at some point during the weekends, it's not usually an issue. If you're a football fan, The Loon has TVs to watch the big game and pizzas are discounted on Sundays.
