A New Family Spot In Frisco Aims To Please

FRISCO, Texas (1080 KRLD) - There is a ton of family friendly fun things to do in Frisco. There is the "Jump Zone", the "Pole Position Raceway", the "Sci-Tech Discovery Center...and the list goes on and on.  A few months ago a whole new concept in family fun popped up on the Frisco skyline.  Like many things in Frisco, it's nothing like anything you'll find anywhere else in the nation.

KRLD's JD Ryan visited the new Frisco Gun Club, touted as the nation's largest indoor shooting range.

Brandon Johnson of the Frisco Gun Club explained "if you think of a country club, but you replace the golf with guns".  Unlike many country clubs, everyone is welcome.  Brandon said "we are definitely open to the public.  It is $20 dollars an hour per person if you just walk in off of the street...of course membership does have its privileges."

Even as you walk in you notice the difference.  The first thing you see is families hanging out at a lunch bar.  Brandon remarked "we call that our Casual cafe.  It has all kind of specialty coffee drinks, plus sandwiches all from our kitchen that is under our Executive Chef Scott Romano.

Jerah Hutchins of the Frisco Gun Club said they even cater to the fastest growing segment of gun owners "the female gun ownership and female Concealed Handgun License holders have gone through the roof".  Wednesdays are ladies night and Jerah noted "we have a female shooting league called A Girl and A Gun. They have a meeting called Breakfast and Bullets as well as girls night out.  It is typically about 40 to 50 ladies that come up and shoot together."

You can even get your marriage off to a bang.  Jerah mentioned "we have bachelor parties here, we have kids birthday parties...everybody loves this place"!
