7-Eleven Buying Wilson Farms Convenience Stores
DALLAS (AP) - Convenience store giant 7-Eleven is expanding with plans to acquire Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, a chain with 188 locations in New York state.
Terms of the agreement with Dallas-based 7-Eleven were not disclosed Wednesday.
The purchase of Wilson Farms, based in Buffalo, N.Y., is meant to bolster 7-Eleven's presence in the western New York area. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
The agreement means 7-Eleven, with more than 8,400 locations in North America, will take over Wilson Farms locations and personnel from the WFI Group, remodeling stores and adding its signature items such as Big Gulp and Slurpee drinks.
