49ers Fans Invade Home Of The Cowboys
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Dallas Cowboys opened the 2014 season in front of a home crowd of 91,174 on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. It sure didn't feel like it.
Loud and faithful San Francisco fans traveled in large numbers to cheer on the visiting 49ers. And by many accounts, they actually outnumbered Cowboys fans.
In the eyes of a few former Cowboys, Dallas actually suffered a DISadvantage by playing at home.
When questioned after the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seemed bothered by the suggestion and refused to acknowledge that the crowd was largely split.
"Well, first of all, I don't acknowledge that there were half of them there. Did you count them?" said Jones. "B.S. I know you didn't count them. Anyway, nothing went through my mind. I was looking at the game."

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, who was at the game, refused to estimate the size of the 49ers contingent. However, he did suggest that the split is uncharacteristic of a home game.
"This isn't like a bowl game, where it's half Alabama and half Oklahoma," said Fisher. "It's not supposed to be that way. Whatever the number is, it's not supposed to be that high."
