4 Things To Know About Ohio State's Star RB Ezekiel Elliott

After running for 246 yards and four touchdowns and leading Ohio State to victory in the National Championship game on Monday, Ezekiel Elliott has become a household name. The sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri finished the season with 1878 yards and 18 touchdowns which is very impressive considering he only had 30 rushing attempts all of last season.

A team that relied on their third-string quarterback for the last three games of the season desperately needed someone to step up and Elliott did and he flourished. Just how good was he? In the last three games, Elliott rushed for 696 yards and 8 touchdowns in the Big 10 Championship game against Wisconsin, the Sugar Bowl against Alabama and in the National Championship against Oregon, combined.

Here are four things to know about star running back and National Champion, Ezekiel Elliott.

1. He Put Up Back-To-Back-To-Back 200 Yard Games.

Elliott went into the Big 10 Championship game and put up 220 and two touchdowns on a tough Wisconsin defense. Then his 4th-seeded Buckeyes took on No. 1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and he rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Those are impressive stats but don't even come close to the 246 yards and four touchdowns he rushed for against Oregon in the National Championship game. #theboycanrun
