4 Arrested For Murder In Garland

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Garland Police have arrested four people from Dallas believed to be responsible for the murder of Ismael Mendez.
Silvino Ricardo Arevalo, 28, David Ricardo Martinez,26, Tanisha Renne Macias, 33 and Adriana Ortega, 26 are all charged with murder with bonds ranging from $250,000 to $500,000.
Garland homicide detectives believe the disturbance began at a club in Dallas in the early morning hours of Friday, November 11.
Mendez and his brother left the location and were followed by Silvino, Martinez, Macias, and Ortega, who were in a black Chrysler 300 sedan.
Police said the four people followed Ismael and his brother to an intersection in Dallas, tried to rob them and began shooting.
Ismael and his brother tried to get away but the suspects chased and continued to shoot at them.
Once in Garland Ismael and his brother crashed their vehicle. Ismael was then shot and the four suspects took off.
Police have not released details on what led them to the suspects or where they were arrested.
The victim's mother spoke to CBS11 last Friday, hours after the murder.
"It's a hurt that you can't tell with words. It feels horrible. Please pray for my family and my children," Rosalva Mendez told CBS11 through a translator.
Mendez's mother said her younger son, Daniel, was driving his brother. He's been able to tell them and police some of what led up to the crash.
"They were at a stoplight, and a car stopped next to them and started shooting at them," Rosalva Mendez said.
The family said the two brothers had just left a bar and when they got to the intersection of Ferguson Road and Gus Thomasson Road, someone in a black car fired shots at them.
