3 Suspects In Lewisville Shooting Caught In Mississippi

ANGUILLA, Miss. (AP) -- A Christmas stakeout in Mississippi led to the arrest of three men wanted in a Dec. 20 slaying in Lewisville.

Sheriff Lindsey Adams tells the Vicksburg Post that the three men were arrested without incident about 11 p.m. on Christmas night.

They are being held in the Issaquena County, Mississippi, jail for Lewisville authorities. Adams says they had waived extradition.

Adams says the security system of a stolen vehicle led authorities to the Anguilla home of a relative of two of the men.

Adams said his deputies, Anguilla police and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation participated in the stakeout. He said at 11 p.m. officers tossed flash grenade into the house and arrested the three in a bedroom.

Adams says the three were wanted in last Tuesday's robbery and shooting death of 21-year-old Trevor Matthew Kronbach at his Lewisville home.

Those arrested were Tyron Negal Jenkins, 41; Julius Kal Smith, 35; and George Walker Jr., 33.
Lewisville police Capt. Kevin Deaver told the Post that the three men are believed to be from Lawrence, Kansas.

Deaver said a fourth suspect was arrested shortly after the slaying at a Dallas-area motel. He said Markell Oneil Hardy, 26, is charged with capital murder and is being held in the Denton County Jail pending the posting of a $250,000 bond.

Jenkins, Smith and Walker will also be charged with capital murder when they are returned to Texas, said Deaver.

"It was basically a robbery gone bad," Deaver said.
