3 People Hurt In South Dallas Shooting
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A shooting in south Dallas sent two people to the hospital early Friday morning, and left a third person injured. The incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. in the 2100 block of Stovall Drive.
According to police, a 28-year-old woman exited a house and was confronted by a man. He wanted to take the woman to his home, but she declined. A brief argument took place with the man showing a handgun. The woman screamed and ran inside. Two men -- ages 28 and 32 -- then came out of the home to help the threatened woman. The suspect fired his handgun at the two men and inside of the home.
The 28-year-old man was struck multiple times and transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center with serious injuries. The 32-year-old man was taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas with less severe injuries. Meanwhile, the woman in this incident was struck by glass that was shattered by a bullet. She received minor injuries, but was not admitted to the hospital.
There was also another 28-year-old woman and two children -- ages 6 and 7 -- inside of the home when shots were fired. None of them were injured during the incident.
Police are still conducting an investigation. The suspect has not been found.
