$3.7 Million Worth Of Marijuana Seized In South Texas
EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — U.S. Border Patrol agents in South Texas have seized more than $3.7 million worth of marijuana over a four-day period.
The marijuana was confiscated in multiple seizures from Friday through Monday.
The largest seizure happened near Weslaco on Saturday after a minivan rolled over during an accident and 1,100 pounds of the illegal drug was found inside the vehicle.
Another 1,000 pounds were found inside a truck that was abandoned near Garceno after it was seen leaving an area near the Rio Grande.
In all, more than 4,600 pounds of marijuana were confiscated.
