Infant Recovered After Forest Hill Kidnapping

FOREST HILL (CBSDFW.COM) - A woman is in jail and an infant is safe after a Thursday kidnapping in Forest Hill.

The woman, Erica Brown, was arrested Thursday for taking a 2-week-old baby girl from a family member of her boyfriend, Marvin Gallow.  Brown allegedly tried to pass the child off as her own.

Forest Hill Police tell CBS 11 Brown has a history of difficulty having children, and may have recently miscarried.

The mother, Erica Walker, says she was feeding the child Thursday morning when she fell asleep, when she woke up, she noticed the baby, Brown and Gallow were missing.

The child, named A-amiryia Washington, was recovered Thursday night and returned to Walker.

Police say no Amber Alert was ever issued because they knew who had taken the child.  Brown and Gallow gave up to police willingly after posting a message to facebook saying they had just had a child.

Right now, Brown and Gallow only face kidnapping charges.
