2 Days, 3 Political Fundraisers In Dallas Area

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Dallas is often considered a political ATM for both Republicans and Democrats.
During the next two days, the area will play host to political fundraisers for three candidates running to be President.
This morning, former Secretary of State and Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton will be attending a fundraiser at the Dallas home of attorney Marc Stanley and his wife Wendy.
The Stanleys also hosted President Barack Obama and House Minority leader Nancy Polosi last year.
While Mrs. Clinton will appear at the fundraiser, her campaign cancelled a planned public event also scheduled for today.
Her campaign called it a scheduling conflict.
Her visit comes as she has increased her lead in national polls over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a Socialist. But she has fallen behind him in Iowa and New Hampshire, where the first caucus and primary will be held.
There is a growing speculation though that Vice President Joe Biden will enter the race for President.
This evening, Republican Senator from Florida Marco Rubio will attend a fundraiser in Highland Park.
Developer Harlan Crow will play host to Rubio at his home.
Rubio received wide praise for his performance during the second debate last week and has been rising in national polls.
He's in 4th place in the Real Clear Politics national average.
Tomorrow evening, fellow Republican Presidential candidate, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will attend a fundraiser being held by his friend, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and wife Gene at their Highland Park home.
Christie, a Cowboys fan, has previously been a guest of Jones at Cowboys games.
After last week's debate, Christie received a small bump in one poll, but still trails other Republicans in the national polls.
The Republican race continues to shrink.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker dropped out yesterday after his polls plummeted following what many believed was a weak debate performance.
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry also dropped his Presidential bid earlier this month.
