FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Firefighters in Fort Worth made their second grisly discovery this month, locating two bodies in a field near Lake Arlington, not far from the place where another body was found several weeks ago.

The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The firefighters spotted smoke and then discovered a burning SUV in the field. After putting out the flames, investigators found the two bodies in the back of the vehicle, where the SUV's third seat would normally be. The seat was missing.

The fire was so intense, police said, that investigators could not immediately tell if the victims were male or female.

One of the victims was later identified as 34-year-old John Hernandez. The other victim's name has still not been released.

Earlier this month, firefighters discovered another body less than two miles down the road from Tuesday's scene. That victim had been wrapped in a rug and set on fire. Authorities have arrested two men in connection with the case, but are still looking for a woman believed to be invovled in that murder. Police said that the group were all doing meth in an apartment when the murder took place.

This is mainly an industrial area with many large, vacant lots. But there is also a neighborhood nearby.

"This appears to be an isolated incident," stated J.M Dunn with the Fort Worth Police Department. "I don't think people that live here need to be alarmed. We are aware of the issues and things that are going on around here."

After this latest discovery, police are expected to increase patrols throughout the area as they search for possible witnesses. If you have information about this case, you are urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department immediately.
