Fort Worth Firefighters Investigating Cause Of 2-Alarm Blaze

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) —Firefighters are investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire in north Fort Worth.
The fire was at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Sandshell Drive in the Fossil Creek area of the city, the department said. The first trucks were dispatched around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, and the response was escalated to two alarms for extra manpower. The department said the fire was under control after about 30 minutes.
It damaged 18 units in the complex, and one resident sustained a minor injury. Fort Worth FD tweeted that a 10-week-old puppy was rescued from the blaze.
The department said the Red Cross was on scene to help those displaced by the fire.
The cause is still under investigation.
