2-Alarm Fire At Dallas Mulch Company
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Arson investigators are looking into a mulch fire in northwest Dallas.
The fire broke out around midnight at the Living Earth Company, in the 10000 block of Spangler Road.
Firefighters arrived to shooting flames and heavy smoke caused from burning mulch and wooden pallets. The blaze eventually grew to 2-alarms, but crews were able to knock it down.
No one was hurt.
According to the Living Earth website, the company takes used and old pallets and turns them into wood chips and mulch for use in industrial furnaces.
Dallas Fire Rescue officials continue to investigate the fire. As of Wednesday morning a cause had not been determined.
