Four Car Collision Results In Fatality
KAUFMAN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - At least one person is dead and nine others injured after a four car collision that happened on Highway 243 near FM 2515 Sunday night.
According to Lonny Haschel with the Texas Department of Public Safety the crash happened around 8:20 p.m.
A Cadillac Escalade was driving east on FM 243 when it tried to pass a white Chevrolet Pickup Truck. The Escalade entered the passing and hit a Ford150 Pickup head on.
The Chevrolet Pickup stopped to after seeing the accident and was then rear ended by a Chevrolet Tahoe.
One person in the Tahoe died from the collision and one fled the scene.
Three people from the Ford150 were taken to the hospital.
Two people in the Escalade and five from the Chevrolet Pickup were also taken to the hospital.
Investigators are looking into the accident.
