DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Investigators say a downtown Dallas wreck has left nearly a dozen vehicles damaged along Interstate-35E.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office says the chain-reaction accident happened around mid-morning Wednesday when a vehicle apparently cut off a tractor-trailer rig. "They did find the 18-wheeler on its side and at least 11 vehicles involved in what we're calling "Frankencrash," Dallas County Sheriff's Captain Mark Howard said.

Authorities say the 18-wheeler overturned and forced the closure of the interstate for more than three hours.

The sheriff's office says the driver suspected of cutting off the truck has several charges pending. "The driver that we believe caused this, through our investigation and we've also got the videotape evidence, was arrested at the scene. He didn't have a driver's license, didn't have insurance and we've also taken him to jail to check for any level of impairment,"Howard said.

Despite the number of vehicles involved, no one was injured in the incident.
