1 Adult, 2 Children Dead After Crash On US 75 In Plano

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Plano police say one adult and two children died after a fatal crash involving two vehicles on northbound U.S. 75 on Friday.

Plano police tweeted the confirmation of the deaths as they continued to investigate the crash that occurred on 75 near Park Blvd. No further details have been released on the victims of the crash.

The scene from Chopper 11 showed a badly-damaged SUV overturned in the center of the closed freeway.

According to police, the three victims were in the back seat of the SUV. The adult victim was an 18-year-old friend of the family inside the vehicle.

Police say the father of the children who died was driving while the mother was in front passenger seat. Both of them survived the crash.

There were also two other children in the vehicle, and they are recovering at the Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Police say the ages of the children range from six to 14.

Michael Gatobu was right there as the wreck unfolded.

"The car like started bouncing, bouncing. And then he like lost control and hit the wall," said Gatobu

Gatobu said he watched as the SUV crashed into a highway divider and smashed into a pole before it flipped over in front of a car.

"I tried to step on the brakes, but the car was still  moving. So I just came crashing into him," said Gatobu. For me, it's sad. I just want to forget it because if I keep it in my mind, I'm going to keep thinking about it over and over. It's like, I saw them die."

Plano police say they are going to continue to investigate further to determine if the driver will face any sort of charges.
