1 dead, search on for suspects who repeatedly fired inside vehicle: Dallas police
DALLAS — Police are searching for two suspects who fired multiple times into a vehicle in southern Dallas, killing 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson.
Officers responded to the scene about 12:30 a.m. Saturday and found Johnson shot in the parking lot of a strip mall near the intersection of South Marsalis Avenue and Ann Arbor Avenue.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the suspects fled the scene in a blue Mazda and a black Mercedes. The cars headed south on South Marsalis.
Around midday on Sunday, police said they had identified the suspects as 24-year-old Denute Bell (pictured below with long hair) and 18-year-old Keylan Bowens (pictured below wearing a cap).
DPD said it obtained arrest warrants for both suspects and is asking anyone with information to contact Det. Frank Serra at (214) 662-4552 or email to frank.serra@dallaspolice.gov.
