First Alert Weather: Parts of North Texas under ice storm warning
NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Waves of freezing rain, sleet and rain will continue to impact most of North Texas throughout Tuesday, and CBS 11 wants to ensure you know what that means for you.
USPS adjusts mail delivery schedule
The United States Postal Service has suspended operations at many locations across Dallas-Fort Worth due to icy road conditions.
USPS said they will provide more information when operations resume. See the impacted locations below.
Ice storm warning issued
An ice storm warning has been issued for western counties, including Denton, Johnson, Wise and Tarrant.
The warning goes into effect on Feb. 1 at 6 a.m. through Feb. 2 at 6 a.m.
Fort Worth travel update: no road closures at this time
Fort Worth ISD to close on Wednesday
Fort Worth Independent School District has announced it will be closed on Wednesday due to the wintry weather that has settled over North Texas.
In addition to classes, the district said in a statement that all extracurricular activities have also been canceled.

DPS Trooper severely injured on I-45 near Corsicana
1 p.m. - A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper was severely injured today while working a traffic crash on I-45 near Corsicana.
DPS spokesman William Lockridge said the trooper was taken to the hospital.
State Rep. Cody Harris (R-HD) commented about the injured trooper on Twitter.
"Taylor and I are praying for the State Trooper who was involved in a terrible accident in Navarro County this morning. Join us as we pray for the doctors tending to him and for his family," he stated. "STAY OFF THE ROADS until the weather has cleared."
Garbage and recycling pickup for Dallas canceled

Dallas cancels all city-sponsored events
Just after noon, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson announced that the city has canceled all city-sponsored events, including the Dallas City Council briefing meeting. "We are going to play it safe."

Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County closed
Noon - Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County will remain closed until at least Wednesday, possible Thursday, according to the organization.
They are advising people to check on their family and neighbors who are home bound, elderly or disabled to make sure they're fed and warm, according to spokesperson Philip Gonzalez.
Tarrant County Commissioners Court cancelled
8:20 a.m. — Due to icy roads, Tuesday's Tarrant County Commissioners Court meeting has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 7.
