Dual sport athlete the pride of Waconia High School, will wrestle for Gophers
McEnelly is the top-ranked 195-pound high school wrestler in America. But he's also the most accomplished running back in Waconia history.
Ren Clayton joined WCCO-TV in October 2021. He grew up in Chanhassen, Minnesota, but most recently lived on the beaches of Hawaii!
After graduating from Concordia University, St. Paul, Ren produced a high school sports magazine show in the Twin Cities, then worked as a weekend sports anchor at KOTA-TV in Rapid City, South Dakota, and KHON2 in Honolulu.
Ren has covered it all, from surfing, to rodeo, to hurricanes. He's grateful to be back working in his hometown, covering the teams and people he grew up with.
When he's not working, you can find Ren playing golf in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.

One of the best in the sport could have easily gone down a different path.
"Make a bigger bond and make it so it's not only one race or one type out there," said William Harness, 12. "Make it so all types and all colors, shapes and sizes can be all out and shredding and stuff."
Orr had a 6% chance of survival. His coworkers who administered CPR and an AED helped beat those odds.
Luka Garza has gotten significantly increased minutes over the Timberwolves last three games. He's risen to the occasion, scoring the most points of his season, so far.
"It's cool. It makes me think my hard work is paying off," said Johnson a senior guard at St. Michael-Albertville High School. "But I still have things to do. I have more work to put in. I'm winning another one, though. I'm winning another one."
Before Saturday, the largest NFL comeback was a Bills/Oilers playoff game in 1992--that was 32 points. The Vikings broke that record by winning 39-36 in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts after being down 33.
The Indigenous Bowl is an all-star showcase for Native football seniors, giving them one last game in their prep career -- as well as an opportunity to get noticed by colleges.

"Every time she hits the ice you know that something exciting is going to happen. Her hockey IQ is off the charts. You can tell that through the way that she sees the ice. Her vision is like nothing that I've ever seen," said head coach Tracy Cassano.
The Gopher football team will hope to avoid getting lost in New York when they play Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium at the end of December.
At a time when budgets are stretched thin and the cost of transportation remains high, people in the Twin Cities have a new option to get around.
The Gopher volleyball team is hosting their region of the NCAA tournament this week, preparing to face off against Southeastern Louisiana on Friday.
"None of us have won a national championship," said setter Teagan Starkey. "So there's no pressure on us really. We just gotta show up to play. We honestly have nothing to lose."
The two-day celebration is on pace to see well over 35,000 people.
