The disapproval resolution, which had already passed the House, required a simple majority to clear the Senate.
"It's bulls**t," Sen. Thom Tillis said.
"TV commentary will not record the truth for our history books. The justice system will. The truth and justice are on our side," Thomas Manger wrote.

A decision in the case, which is expected this summer, will affect roughly 40 million borrowers who are eligible for relief.
Fetterman's office announced on Feb. 16 that he checked himself into the hospital for treatment for clinical depression.
