The call between President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping came amid heightened tensions over Taiwan.
The president completed his five-day course of Paxlovid and five full days of isolation as of Wednesday morning, his doctor said.
The president is expected to continue to isolate until he tests negative.
"I am fully vaccinated and boosted and am experiencing mild symptoms," the West Virginia Democrat said.
The House Jan. 6 committee focused Thursday's hearing on what was happening at the White House during 187 key minutes of the rioting.
The White House has identified 17 close contacts of the president.
"Because the president is fully vaccinated, double boosted, his risk of serious illness is dramatically lower," Dr. Ashish Jha said.
The DHS watchdog and Jan. 6 committee have requested text messages sent and received by 24 U.S. Secret Service officials on Jan. 5-6, two Secret Service officials confirmed to CBS News.
"As president, I'll use my executive powers to combat the climate crisis in the absence of congressional action," he said.
Russia is already forcing residents to apply for Russian citizenship according to the National Security Council.
