Driver killed after being shot, crashing into parked cars in Calumet Heights

Chicago police said the victim was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The burglaries happened between April 16 and May 12.
It was said that the victim remote started his car and was walking towards it when he was shot by an unknown person.
A westbound black four-door Mercedes-Benz E Class, between 2003 and 2009, hit them and left the scene.
He was struck in the left leg and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital by the Chicago Fire Department in fair condition.
Services for Marko Niketic, 17, will be held Thursday morning at the St. Sava Monastery in Libertyville.
The teen was arrested just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 3200 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
Joliet police said around 9:12 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Henderson Avenue for a report of two people who were shot.
Preliminary investigation indicates no suspicious activity.
Police said a patrol cruiser with two officers inside collided with a gray van at the intersection.
He was found in the 1300 block of West 64th Street.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 68.
Gary Howard, 20, from Palos Park, appeared in court Saturday morning charged with one count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Police said three men were near the sidewalk when they were approached by the four suspects, who pulled out handguns and fired shots.
