Chicago weekend shootings leave 3 killed, 16 hurt, police say

Police said just after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call at the parking lot in the 10200 block of Irving Park Road, where they found a 26-year-old man who had been shot.
Fire crews arrived on the scene to treat the victim, who was then taken to UIC hospital, where he died.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. in the 5200 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Raylon East, 36, of Chicago, was charged with two felony counts of first-degree murder and one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon in possession of a felon.
Two people from inside the truck were taken into custody after crashing in Channahon.
An Infiniti sedan was attempting to change lanes into the left lane when it lost control, striking another vehicle and then the squad car.
The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Harrison Street.
The burglaries occurred overnight in the Belmont Cragin, Belmont Heights, and East Albany Park neighborhoods.
The teens were arrested on Wednesday in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue on the city's Near West Side.
Bowman passed away Monday at the age of 96.
The driver did stop after the crash.
All three men were arrested on Monday just after 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
Darion McMillian was charged with first-degree murder of a police officer and several other counts.
Celeste Pope, 18, was arrested on Tuesday in the 1700 block of South State Street.
