Man arrested while burglarizing Greater Grand Crossing liquor store
Chicago police said the burglar forcefully entered the AG Wholesale Liquors store at 6945 S. State St. just before 2:30 a.m.

Chicago police said the burglar forcefully entered the AG Wholesale Liquors store at 6945 S. State St. just before 2:30 a.m.
The situation happened around 3 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Washtenaw Avenue.
One person is dead, and two others were hurt following a shooting in Joliet Saturday night, according to police.
Police said the two were identified as the offenders who took belongings from two men, 29 and 30, at gunpoint in the 10100 block of South Wentworth Avenue just 20 minutes prior to their arrest.
Preliminary information says one of the people killed was a pedestrian outside of a vehicle.
Chicago police said he was taken into custody on Friday by members of the Bureau of Counter Terrorism Mass Transit Team in the 1400 block of West 63rd Street.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 50.
The man pulled out his handgun and fired at the group, who returned to their car and left the scene, police said.
Chicago police said the victim, a 43-year-old man, was in front of his home when an argument ensued with three known men who began attacking him.
Chicago police said just before midnight, a 59-year-old man was inside the residence when he thought someone was attempting to break in.
Chicago police said the gunman, who was known by the victim, approached the residence of the victim and knocked on the door before firing multiple shots through it.
According to the office, the move is part of the Safe Chicago program, which provides additional public safety measures to residents, city employees, and visitors.
Sami Hirmiz, 19, and Faozi Hirmiz, 61, were arrested and charged with felony manufacture and delivery of cannabis, felony possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Faozi was also charged with two counts of resisting arrest.
Joliet police said the shooting happened just before midnight in the 2300 block of White Birch Lane.
Illinois State Police said Johnson was involved in an earlier traffic crash where his vehicle rested off the roadway's right side.
