In 2022, Rosen was part of the team that won a Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in TV Political Journalism for his work with "Face the Nation" covering the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol and attacks on democracy.
During the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020 election, Rosen assisted in covering the White House for CBS News Radio under both the Trump and Biden administrations.
