Faris Tanyos

Faris Tanyos is a news editor for CBSNews.com, where he writes and edits stories and tracks breaking news. Faris started his journalism career as a production assistant and video news editor at KDRV-TV in Medford, Oregon, before transitioning into digital news producing.

Before joining CBS News, he worked at local news stations up and down the West Coast, including KOIN-TV in Portland, KGTV in San Diego and CBS Los Angeles. Faris has an economics degree from Oregon State University and is based in San Diego. He can be reached at faris.tanyos@paramount.com.
