Body of 23-year-old man recovered from Lewisville Lake
The Lewisville Fire Department dive team recovered the body around 8 p.m. Monday, according to Texas Parks & Wildlife.
Doug Myers is a digital content producer for CBS Texas and has been with the team since February 2024. His long career has included four stops at newspapers and three stints at television stations.
While he was Executive Producer-Digital at KXXV (Waco), the station captured a prestigious regional digital Edward R. Murrow Award for 'Remembering the Luby's Massacre' & "Honoring Our Vets." He also led digital efforts at KTXS (Abilene) that ranked No. 1 in the AP Digital Contest in 2015, 2017, and 2018.
He has been married to Rene' Russell Myers for more than three decades and has two grown sons: Trey and Tyler. He is a huge Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers and especially LSU fan. Geaux Tigers! He enjoys working with youth, along with all of his family, in Cleburne.

Investigators believe that none of the passengers in the vehicle, including the baby, were wearing seatbelts.
It happened just before 3 p.m. Monday.
The teen was last seen at about 2:40 a.m. on Saturday in the 1000 block of Princeton Heights.
The Collin County Sheriff's Office said that one vehicle caught fire in the accident involving approximately five vehicles.
Burks was killed in a shooting in Oak Cliff, and two other responding officers were injured late Thursday night, Dallas police said.
"Transparency in these situations is crucial for public trust and accountability," Richardson police said Thursday in a news release.
The accident happened just before 8 a.m. Wednesday in Alvord, about 45 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
The incident is part of a concerning number of drownings in North Texas this summer.
A concerned resident called for help, prompting Tarrant County Sheriff's Office deputies to respond.
A Facebook video shared with CBS News Texas showed a heavily damaged white passenger van on a grassy shoulder off the highway.
Representatives from several of the victim's families filed the lawsuit.
Police say the girl was part of a large church group from Garland.
The crash reported around 6:45 p.m. Friday prompted the closure of northbound I-35 lanes for about five hours.
Officers were dispatched to the scene just before 10:30 p.m.
