Copper thieves strike North Texas posing as utility workers
A recent surge in copper thefts has led a police department to issue an alert and release startling videos of the criminals at work.

"Fentanyl dealers are dealing death," Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said.
Officers arrived around 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Ross Avenue and discovered the two shooting victims.
The mall remained open.

The woman, a resident of Dallas, died without pre-existing medical conditions, officials said.
She is currently being held in Tarrant County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
Police were called just after 11 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Forest Hollow Lane.
Police responded to reports of a shooting around 1 p.m. at 875 E Highway 67 Service Road.
The injured student sustained "superficial cuts," according to Dallas ISD.
The case had gone cold for decades with no suspects or leads.
The suspect was observed running off when officers responded to a scene.
