Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were honored on stage at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday, met with a standing ovation from some of Hollywood's biggest names.

It happened just over a mile southeast of North Hollywood, according to the USGS.
It was reported at around 2:40 p.m. on southbound lanes near Montana Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It happened on Friday near Firestone Boulevard and the 710 Freeway, according to a Facebook post from the South Gate Police Department.
The crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. near Vernon and Central avenues, police said.
It was first reported at around 4:50 a.m. at a home in the 9400 block of Harrell Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
It was reported just before 3:30 p.m. in a large open area near the 12900 block of W. Branford Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was reported at around 2 p.m. in the 800 block of N. Martel Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The collision happened just after 12:30 p.m. near Indian Hill Bouelvard and Kingsley Avenue, according to the Pomona Police Department.
They say that the man and woman may have been in a relationship.
The Original Pantry, which first opened in 1924, may serve its final meal Sunday.
