The crash ended when the driver slammed into the back of another car at the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Third Street.
The deadly crash happened on June 22 at around 3:20 a.m, when the victim was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, according to investigators.
On top of the confiscated fireworks, police issued 59 fireworks related citations and $1,000 fines to offenders, according to a statement from Chino city officials.
Police said one of the adults and two of the children are in critical condition after the crash on Sunday.
