Controversy over new Hegseth Signal messages

President Trump is publicly standing by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth amid scrutiny over his use of a Signal chat. It was revealed that Hegseth used his personal phone to share details about impending strikes in Yemen on a private thread that included his wife, brother and personal attorney. His brother and attorney have official positions at the Pentagon. The Defense Department doesn't deny the reports, but says no classified information was shared.

Zeldin: "Absolutely" no adverse health effects to regulatory cuts

As the Trump administration announced 31 environmental deregulatory measures in March alone, EPA administrator Lee Zeldin tells "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" that these "absolutely" won't have adverse health effects, and Americans "want us to make sure that we are applying common sense." The decisions are the start of what's expected to be a yearslong effort to repeal or revise dozens of environmental rules, much to the dismay of climate experts and advocates.
