Some GOP senators appear tepid on Hegseth

Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump's pick for defense secretary, met with Republican senators Tuesday for the second day in a row amid news that GOP insiders pushed to remove him as the leader of a veterans' group in 2016 over allegations of financial mismanagement, repeated intoxication and sexual misconduct. Hegseth's attorney has denied all allegations against his client. CBS News' Nikole Killion and James LaPorta have the latest.

Weinstein used Lauer claims against NBC: Book

In his new book “Catch and Kill,” journalist Ronan Farrow claims that Harvey Weinstein used sexual misconduct allegations against Matt Lauer to pressure NBC to drop stories about his own behavior, by making it known to the network that he was aware of Lauer’s alleged behavior and capable of revealing it. One of the stories NBC allegedly suppressed was Farrow’s own Weinstein expose. Farrow eventually took the story to The New Yorker, where it became a catalyst for the #MeToo movement. Jericka Duncan reports on the new claims.
