Ukrainian forces still holed-up in steelworks

A Ukrainian military official is pleading for help from the international community to get wounded military members out of a besieged steel plant in Mariupol after all civilians were successfully rescued. Police in Maine are investigating after two people were hit and killed by an Amtrak train. And the graduating class at Wiley College is debt free after an anonymous donor paid the student's loan balances ahead of their commencement. The historically Black college in Texas is notably the real-life inspiration for the film “The Great Debaters.”

Senate to vote on abortion bill next week

The Senate will vote next week on legislation that would enshrine abortion rights into federal law. The bill - destined to fail in the divided Senate - is Democrats’ latest reaction to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion on a crucial abortion case. Dave Chappelle's accused attacker has been charged with four misdemeanor counts, but no felonies. And in a bargain of historical proportions, a Texas woman picked up a 2,000-year-old sculpture that once belonged to a king from a Goodwill shop for $35.
