New details about Gaetz's Bahamas trip

Prosecutors are continuing to investigate Florida Representative Matt Gaetz for federal sex crimes, and the details of a 2018 trip to the Bahamas could be crucial to their probe. The Republican is accused of violating sex trafficking laws and having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an underage girl. Rep. Matt Gaetz facing sex trafficking probe

The Justice Department is investigating whether Rep. Matt Gaetz, a close ally of former President Donald Trump, had a possible sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid for her to travel with him. A former department official tells CBS News the investigation began at least last summer. No charges have been brought against the Florida lawmaker, who called a New York Times report on the inquiry "verifiably false" and said he did not have a relationship with a 17-year-old. Film exposes Nigerian sex trafficking

Sex trafficking has escalated exponentially in Nigeria over the last decade with tens of thousands of young women and girls either getting lured or forced into sex slavery. "Oloture," a recent Netflix movie, follows the story of a young female journalist who goes undercover as a prostitute to expose a human trafficking syndicate. Mo Abudu, CEO and president of EbonyLife Media and EbonyLife Place and executive producer of the film, joined "CBSN AM" to discuss.

Twitter takes down QAnon-linked accounts

Twitter is removing thousands of accounts linked to QAnon, a conspiracy theory group that has been spreading disinformation and harassing people online. QAnon followers, often seen at Trump rallies, believe in conspiracy theories about global child sex trafficking and so-called Deep State efforts to take down the president. They recently organized to harass actress and model Chrissy Teigen after linking her, without evidence, to Jeffrey Epstein.
